The Fat Rat Remixes Foster The People
Posted: January 24, 2012 Filed under: Dance, electro, Remix, Rock | Tags: Flo Rida, Foster The People, The Fat Rat Leave a commentSo glad I now know about Fat Rat. They released a great remix of Foster The People’s ‘Don’t Stop’. I’m not really a huge fan of the original. Sorry Foster, I think Houdini and Helena Beat are the best off that album. Don’t Stop has been featured in a couple commercials. I wish this remix was featured instead. I also threw in another remix by Fat Rat. They also did Flo Rida’s Good Feeling. Take a listen to their version of it. Download both right from the soundclouds below!

Fun Track ‘Dolphin’ From Ravi Parikh!
Posted: January 22, 2012 Filed under: electro, house | Tags: Ravi Parikh Leave a commentRavi is back with another solid track called ‘Dolphin’. This is a fun track that brings me back to the days of N64 and Sega Genesis. It just sounds like a video game track to me. Oh if I had this track back in the day….. Just picture sonic running through tunnels, jumping on shit and collecting coins. Or since it is titled Dolphin, Wave Race might be a better video game to picture this song in. Download it from the Soundcloud player below!

Skrillex. Acoustic. Nuff Said….
Posted: January 19, 2012 Filed under: Cover, Dubstep | Tags: Skrillex, Skrym Leave a commentDubstep and other genres of electronic based music often get a bad rap for numerous reasons. I can see where people say ‘it makes no sense’ or ‘sounds awful’, but think again. It’s really not forced on the general music listening public like say….anything on the radio or not nearly as much a pop and hip-hop genres (not that it’s all terrible). This makes the electronic genres of music, to me, sort of an oasis in the realm of music. I am a fan of MUSIC. Dubstep and electronic music, contrary to the haters, has some musical value. This track right here is an absolutely amazing version of Scrillex’s Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites. It is all done on an acoustic guitar by Skrym. I have the acoustic cover (available for free download) and the original version below for comparison.
P.S. Skrillex at Bamboozle this year?!? Awesome…

“A spectacular combination of NiT GriT’s legendary sound-design and exemplary melodicism is flawlessly fused with Stephan Jacobs fierce break-down style and intricate, inter-galactic progressions to form “Game Over”, by far the best track to emerge from this outstanding Dubstep collaboration. Bridging the gap between Glitch, IDM, Dubstep, and “Bass Music” in general, NiT GriT and Stephan Jacobs stand strong as two of the industries most exciting rising artists.”
